I feel immense gratitude to have been selected as one of nine Toledo-area artists commissioned to create posters displayed at ProMedica Toledo Hospital to honor the local healthcare and front-line workers in 2020. This piece is composed of hand drawn and cut paper elements that were then scanned and arranged digitally. It is meant to create a positive and mindful moment from afar and up close. I was able to include my son in the process, who provided the “thank you”. Not only was this a collaborative effort between mother and son, but also reflected that adult or adolescent, we were all grateful (and continue to be) for those on the front line.
